The furniture company Magnussen has changed a lot of the many years it has been in business. Initially, Ingwer Magnussen founded the Magnussen Presidential Company in 1931, in the town of Kitchener, Ontario. He created beautiful and intricately carved wood for sofa frames which earned him a reputation that allowed his young business to grow. Over the years, Magnussen Home has continued to grow to become a global enterprise, but has maintained the core principles of a family-run business - trust, honesty and respect - as the foundation of their success.

In 2002, Magnussen Presidential Furniture became Magnussen Home. The addition of "Home" reflects who they are and what they offer as a company: fine wood furniture pieces that are designed for today's lifestyles to enhance the most important rooms in your home.
